AI Message Templates

Generate complete WhatsApp message templates with AI — directly in the template editor.

Overview

LaunchStore includes an AI message generator inside the WhatsApp template builder. Instead of writing a message from scratch, you describe what you want and the AI produces a ready-to-edit draft that follows Meta's template format requirements.

How to Generate a Template

  1. Go to Marketing → WhatsApp → Templates
  2. Click New Template
  3. Enter a template name and choose a category (Marketing, Utility, Authentication)
  4. In the Message Body field, click Generate with AI
  5. Choose a tone:
    • Promotional — sale announcements, new arrivals, limited-time offers
    • Re-engagement — win-back messages for inactive customers
    • Transactional — order updates, shipping notifications, confirmations
  6. Add optional context (e.g. "Summer sale, 20% off all orders, ends Sunday")
  7. Click Generate — a complete message body appears in the field
  8. Review and edit the draft, then click Submit for Approval

Variable Placeholders

AI-generated templates use standard WhatsApp variable placeholders:

PlaceholderFilled with
{{1}} or {{name}}Customer's first name
{{2}} or {{product}}Product name
{{3}} or {{discount}}Discount code or amount
{{4}} or {{link}}Checkout or product link

LaunchStore fills these automatically when a template is used in a broadcast or automation.

Note

Variable names in double curly braces must follow Meta's format exactly. The AI generator uses the correct format, but double-check if you edit the placeholders manually.

Meta Approval

After submitting, Meta reviews the template — typically within a few minutes to a few hours. The template status in your dashboard updates automatically:

  • Pending — submitted, awaiting review
  • Approved — ready to use in broadcasts and flows
  • Rejected — review Meta's rejection reason and edit the content
Tip

If Meta rejects an AI-generated template, the rejection reason usually points to specific language. Edit that section and resubmit — you do not need to regenerate the whole template.
